SWAZIS GET NEW INTERNET VOICE

A new website designed to give Swazis a new voice has been launched.

Its creator, Musawenkosi Dube, who works for the Swaziland Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (SPTC), says his website is ‘an alternative to the mainstream journalism’ in Swaziland.

In an interview with the Weekend Observer (28 June 2008) Dube said he wanted the site to be a forum for discussion among Swazi people, and in time with non-Swazis from all over the world.

The site, which contains articles of topical interest, is called yeboyes and intends in time (I think) to be a commercial website.

Dube told the Weekend Observer, ‘Many Swazis with Internet access only visit to see what the world thinks of us and never tell the world what we are about.’

Yeboyes can be found by clicking www.yeboyesafrica.com
